We started in 2005 as a green directory and then added an ethical directory and article site.
We have then removed directories and added a green job board as we tinkered with what works best for our members.
From 2005 until 2008 we saw massive growth in the organic and fair-trade sectors as eco companies sprung up all over the place with green websites.
From 2008 as the world recession hit we have seen a slow down in the growth and a number of fair-trade shopping and ethical companies listed in
GuideMeGreen have sadly finished trading and closed down.
As our green business develops in 2010/11 we are moving into also providing planning permission and applications for building extensions
and loft conversions with the environment in mind. This can involve installing solar panels, harvesting rain water, having a carbon neutral
home and advice on obtaining government energy grants. This service is currently available in the Manchester and Cheshire areas only at the
present time. For more information on these new services please contact us.
